ABOUT US
Project Injini creates educational games and assistive applications specifically for young children with special needs. The kids who play our games and use our applications inspire us to create the high quality learning experience that all children deserve. Our team collaborates with the unique and deserving community of children with special needs, their parents, educators, and therapists who use play to address developmental delays and medical disorders. By merging cutting-edge technology and innovative game design with the expertise of educators and early intervention specialists, we seek to improve the lives of children with special needs.
OUR STORY
In 2010, our small, diverse team of game developers and early intervention specialists came together to begin prototyping iPad-based learning games and an AAC application for young children with special needs. Our goal was to design exceptional games and assistive applications for the kids who otherwise had little access to cutting-edge gaming technology. With the support and expertise of NCsoft, an internationally renowned publisher of computer games, the team created the Injini suite of games and a prototype of AAC application and presented them at conferences in the US and Korea. Strong feedback from parents, educators and speech therapists, as well as home- and school-based case studies, provided enough validation for us to launch Injini to the broader market via Apple’s AppStore. We’re making the finishing touches on our AAC application and expect to launch it in September this year.
